Used this app for a couple of years, but now Im switching to a different local news app and deleting this one because of the auto play. It makes the app unusable for me. So invasive.

This app was my favorite local news app but this recent updates ruined everything! The auto play ad video forces you to watch the video no matter what. Very very annoying. Not recommended at all. I deleted the app.

I loved this app when it came out. Started my day with it but now I generally avoid using it between the problems loading the live broadcast, those God foresaken Blinds To Go ads, and now auto videos that start running while I am attempting to read the article. NBC 4 was my favorite news site but with the issues stated above, I am forced to use CBS. I do miss you NBC

Dont bother with this one - when you try to read an article, horrible video ads start auto playing. No way to disable - really annoying when you are in a quiet place.

This is one of the worst new app I have ever used. There is no way I can read the stories with videos when you enable auto play. What is the point of forcing people to watch the videos.

Like others have said the autoplay videos that are impossible to mute are very annoying. Great way to wake up anyone sleeping near you. Switched to ABC NY app.

When tapping on a Twitter link to NBC4 all you get is a headline! Still does not work with the recent update!

The app will open a video and start playing it automatically. I was placed in an embarrassing position by this annoying feature

This used to be my local news app, but ever since they started these auto-play ads, I have been SO aggravated. If the ads are necessary, at least auto-play them silently so we have the option! Everything on my phone is set to silent, so when these ads come blaring, it is infuriating. I now hate this app. Searching for a new one.

This app is filled with glitches! Wont often load the page you intend to read, and then when you want to watch videos it often takes you to the live stream but not the correct video linked to the article! And every article come with video ads even if there is no video content for that article! Absolutely backwards app design

I used to use this app everyday for local news. Now in almost every story there is a video ad that automatically plays - very loud, no way to mute. Not only is it excessive to have the ad in every story, but I cant use the app in public or quiet places.

Why does the 6:00pm sports report always gets cut before the show ends

I use to like this app until they did the stupid auto play with the stories. Also the 30 secs advertising is really annoying.

Autoplay ads totally unacceptable - no option to turn off autoplay, and they assault you with sound even when phone is set to silent. Infuriating! I prefer skimming/reading news, not watching video, and now I cannot even click any article with video symbol to see if theres a written story. Not worth my time to open this app anymore. Will find another source for local NY news.

Sometimes I just want to read the news without watching a video. Thats why I downloaded this app years ago. But now I have no choice. Its horrible to be sitting on a crowded, quiet train of commuters and hearing the Blinds to Go ad pop up just because I want to read the news...about MTA delays. Make the videos optional!!!!

This was my go-to app for news. Not anymore. The videos play automatically and when my phone is on silent they scream at me. I exit out of the app super fast now. Plus the ads are so long before the video that it makes it all not worth it. I mostly read articles so I will go with another news app until this is fixed. Blinds to go is driving me insane. Horrible.

NOW THAT I HAVE UPDATED THE APP DOESNT OPEN. IT MAKES ME UPSET BECAUSE I AM GETTING NOTIFICATIONS BUT I CANNOT OPEN IT. PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE FIXXX THIS!!!

I just downloaded this app to escape the constant bombardment of breaking news coming to my phone from channel 7. While there are less annoyances in this app, and the interface is well, there are still too many breaking news alerts. The last straw was the last alert saying "14 storms predicted for the Atlantic hurricane season." Time to delete, moving on to fox5.

It keeps me well informed regarding the news here in New York and locally and has videos and well written articles as well..my only concern and bias would be that the App could use a timer for when the live streaming is set to begin again regarding Live Newscasts as that is quite irritating and annoying in trying to guesstimate daily..." Im sure Im not the only one that finds this to be laborious and challenging as well.."
