The latest version (9/23/15): - doesnt work in landscape mode - much slower - is a knockoff of the CBS NY site. Instead of a series of stories, the new site is organized by sections (i.e., Top news, local). Seemed much easier to navigate thru the old version

Cannot view in landscape mode. Old version can.

New update is slow, Application closes unexpectedly and I dont like having to look at it in portrait mode on my iPad. Definitely looking for a better app.

Why cant they leave a good app alone, doesnt reorient anymore and layout not appealing

This new version stinks. Why mince words. Everything everyone else has said is true. Im deleting this one and going back to the old "unsupported" app.

Can you change the photo on the app when it loads, that picture of the Brooklyn bridge is has construction on it. Perhaps a picture of the World Trade Center looking north towards 30 Rock

I like the new version of the app, especially now that the weather is integrated into it. Only one issue: the new sliding scale for hourly weather does not work properly. I get to about 11am, and when I try to slide later in the day, it brings me to 5am the next day. Please fix!

Why is this app set up so that its oriented in portrait mode, and thats further limited to "right side up" (Home button at the bottom)? Its impossible to use when youre charging the iPad. Ive checked both the app settings and my orientation lock, but the problem cant seem to be corrected. More importantly, why were poor quality weather maps employed? Everythings pixelated and blurry, making me extremely glad I didnt delete my Storm Center 4 app, despite the constant notifications popping up telling me "this app is no longer supported." And providing a long series of poor resolution maps you have to swipe through in hopes of getting a good idea of current weather conditions is not an "improvement."

Terrible. The layout couldnt be any more impersonal. Feels more like Comcast Conglomerate Inc.; stripped it down to bare basics of low graphics, simplistic background, do less with less attitude, and it wont go into "landscape" when you rotate the device. Im stingy with apps on my device, and Im dropping this one for the competitor NYC news app that presents a better more personable experience.

I thought I would give this app a try since the storm team 4 app is "no longer supported". I re-installed the storm team app within minutes. The layout on this app is terrible and it takes multiple clicks to get to the forecast and to each news story. The storm team app lets you see then 10 day forecast in one click and all news stories are laid out in a nice continuous flow.

You had a winner. Now youve got a disaster on your hands. Best go back to the weather app. This one will not do.

Stuck in portrait mode, too busy,weather section small with poor resolution when zooming in.

I have used this app for several years and loved it until this new upgrade. First of all you can only see it in portrait which makes it very difficult. The news are not being updated like they used too and the live coverage is not consistent,one day they will have and the next day is not. Today for instance its not there. I have switched to NY 5 now is excellent. But I sure miss Michael and Darlene.

When I go to see my local radar I wind up off he coast of Africa!?!?! Im in NY not Africa!! Can you please fix this??? The old weather app was way better than this one. I loved using the radar. It was more timely and more accurate when it came to strong storms. I knew what was coming my way and what was over me right now. Now all I see is Africa???

Only opens in portrait even though my iPad is locked in landscape. No way to switch in the settings. Deleted it and got WCBS - much better. Also would constantly tell me the nickname I selected was taken and would then delete my review - hope this makes it

Evidently the higher-ups dont have iPads. If they did this version wouldnt be out there.

I have notifications turned on so that I can get breaking news, severe weather and traffic incidents. However NBC4 thinks I need to know every time one of their regular broadcasts is about to go on the air. "New Yorkers enjoy December tee-shirt weather" is NOT breaking news. Before you send out a notification think: Is this something I would want to be disturbed with while driving or in a meeting?" Save notifications for true breaking news so that you are not the boy that cried wolf!!!!

Go back to the old app.... It worked so much better .... Doesnt freeze , no loading issues , easier to find current news, and easy to use....even Fox News has a better app!

The update is terrible. It freezes and says error and I am not connected to the Internet try later. Bring back the other version. I had no problems with it.
